my thoughts on the mario movie so far

“charles martinet couldn’t carry a whole movie, you’d get tired of it” BRO HOW??? hes a PROFESSIONAL VOICE ACTOR??? WITH RANGE??? He could make it more subtle, he could slow down the pace of it during the movie, he could use another voice, it would all still be recognizably and more importantly FITTINGLY motherfucking Mario.

But no because right, since charles apparently, isn’t good enough to carry a movie lets get a random ass guy to do the equivalent of making a boston accent at a pub for a joke and going “im jumpin ‘ere , im jumpman mario, wahoo.” truly its the only other option we had

Imagine being Charles Martinet and having to just sit there and watch as someone else does the character you’ve voiced for decades in the big movie they’re finally making and they’re just bringing absolutely nothing. Giving the most lifeless, zero effort performance to your character as you’re relegated to a cameo.

I think he should get to strangle Chris Pratt to death.
